• The need for an easily prepared cooking guide for foods containing wild plants in the Nineveh Plains. 
• Preserving the sustainability of these traditional foods Nineveh Plains.  
• Helping the new generation learn about these foods, making it easier for them to prepare traditional dishes.  
• Transferring these recipes to other regions.  Documenting the role that wild plants play in traditional foods in the Nineveh Plains.
